Our Myanmar Liveaboard to Mergui Archipelago,


Burma Diving Safaris and their Dive Team welcome you aboard our Myanmar Liveaboard M/V Dolphin Queen.

We do a 5 days & 6 nights and 6 days & 7 nights Scuba Diving Safari aboard our Live aboard the M/V Dolphin Queen. There are 14/18 day dives, 4/4 night dives, each dive group is 4 divers to 1 PADI dive guide, this means a nice relaxed dive in a small group.
We will dive all the best major dive sites the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar, Burma has to offer, such as Black Rock, Western Rocky, Shark Cave, High Rock, Twin Cheeks and many more.
Burma Liveaboard Safari guests should arrive for equipment check at our PADI 5 star Dive Center no later than 9:00. Departure from Similan Diving Safaris Dive Center in Khao Lak ( map) to Ranong ( 3,5 hrs) is at 9:00 in the morning.

On arrival aboard the M/V Dolphin Queen you will be introduced to our dive staff & boat crew, then you will be shown to your cabin, later you will receive a full boat brief to familiarize you with the running of the boat and the rules and safety procedures aboard the M/V Dolphin Queen.

Before dinner is a good time to assemble and check your equipment with your dive guide. After a sun set dinner you can relax and get to know your new dive Buddy’s, listen to some music or simply gaze at a star filled night from our Sun deck. Ready in the morning for your 1st amazing dive in the Mergui Archipelago.

1st Day
Wake up call @ 06:00 am. You receive a light breakfast, fresh coffee, tea & some toast and fresh fruits. For after your dive there are boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelet, pancakes, French toast, sausages, ham. We also serve German brown bread (baked by German Bakery), muesli, corn flakes, oats, and lots of fresh fruits are always on the table: water melon, banana’s, pineapples and oranges.
Electrolyte drinks are free for you to drink at any time during the safari this helps to prevent dehydration. You will receive a Dive site and Dive Safety briefing before every dive. All dives are Multi level dives. All divers must dive with a buddy. All of our dive guides have computers and are very experienced. You may request to dive with your own dive buddy; this will depend on your experience.
All major European languages are spoken by our guides.

1st dive at 07:00 am.
The first dive is what we call a check dive, we will check buoyancy, air consumption and equipment. Dive time is 55 min, then we do a 5 min safety stop. With most of the dives you are picked up by the Live aboard or our dingy this makes for easy stress free diving.
After breakfast you have 3hrs in-between dives. You can go to the beach when possible with our 40hp dinghy, and take a walk on deserted beaches, cool off in your A/C cabin or just relax on the boat with the new friends you made on this fantastic diving safari. Fish books are available aboard for you to read.

2nd Dive at 11:00 am.
After your second dive lunch time at 13.00 pm.

3rd Dive 15:00 pm.
After your dive snacks, fruits & drinks are served till your night dive. Snorkeling, swimming or visit the beach when possible. We have a kayak for your enjoyment in-between dives.

4th Dive. Night Dive 7:15 pm.
After your night dive Dinner is served.

We have a photographer aboard you may want to see your video or photos on our DVD player. To relax your body and mind after diving, traditional Thai massage is available onboard.

On the last day we do 2 dives before we head back to Kaw Thaung to visit the town and to clear Myanmar Immigration. The Thai immigration is in Ranong. We will depart from Ranong for Kura Buri at around 17:00 pm with a sunset dinner. The next day after a light breakfast, we disembark for your A/C mini bus waiting to take you to our Khaolak dive center. We can assist you with accommodation before or after our Mergui Archipelago Diving Safari.

What to bring with you aboard the Dolphin Queen for your Diving Safari.

For your convenience you should bring only a small bag you don’t need much clothing on your Safari, you may leave any excess baggage or valuables at our Dive Center or at your hotel.

Here is a list of what you should bring :

Some clothing like shorts, T- shirt and something with long sleeves.
Sun glasses, a hat and sun cream for the day time as the temperature can be around 30°C to 35°C during the day
Bathroom kit     * Free bio-degradable shampoo & shower soap *
Dive Card
Some money for beer and drinks. Beer is only served after your last dive

If you are a PADI diver and don't have your card for some reason we can check with PADI online in minutes. We have log books for sale and dive computers for rent or sale. Aboard the M/V Dolphin Queen we have a full Medic First Aid kit aboard so you don't need to worry about sea sickness, upset stomach, blisters and other minor ailments.
There also is an Oxygen & Nitrox station aboard.
