M/V Dolphin Queen


Our live-aboard, M/V DOLPHIN QUEEN has a wooden mono hull, comprising off 3 decks. The main deck has 6 cabins, 2 Double bed, 1 Twin Berth and 3 Four Berth cabins. Our twin and 4 berth cabins are fitted with curtains for each bed for guest's privacy.

All cabins have their own air conditioner and an opening sea view window. Each of our cabins has 220v plug sockets, so you can charge your battery packs or your dive torch.

The upper deck has 2 Double bed cabins, these are our sea front cabins where you are welcomed each morning with a view of the ocean and the islands when you open the cabin door. These are the only cabins where you can switch off the air con and enjoy the cool night's seabreeze.

The wheel house (captains quarters) can be found at the front (bow) of the boat. At the rear (stern) is the dining area, where you can help yourself with coffee, tea, toast, water, electrolyte drinks and fresh fruit which is always on the table for your convenience.


food

Our food is very popular with our guests. Every morning there is a European style made to order breakfast with a choice of Brown Bread, Omelette, Fried egg, Sausages, Corn Flakes, Muesli, fresh fruit, tea and freshly ground coffee. Lunch and Dinner are served with traditional Thai food.

The galley is on the main deck. The cook and her assistant prepare the food fresh every day. We cater for vegetarians and any other special dietary requests. Don't worry about the famous Thai chilies! We can cook to your taste.

dining area

The sides of the dining area are open so you can enjoy the good weather to the maximum. The dining area has 3 tables on the sides with sofa seatings and 1 extra table in the center for cameras, etc.
The dining area is not only a place for eating, it is also a great place to relax, read a book or listen to your MP3 player.
We have a large collection of fish identification books in several languages. We have a TV and DVD player so any videos made on the trip can be reviewed.

kitting up area

On the main deck at the stern is the Dive Platform and gearing up area for your diving equipment which has more than ample room to put on and store your dive gear. We have 40 Luxfer 12 ltr Tanks and we use INT connection, we do have DIN adapters and 15 ltr tanks for rent.
There are also 2 Bauer Mariner II compressors with an air cooling system with P41 air filters to give you the best Quality air.
Close at hand are the Similan Diving Safaris boat crew, who are there to help you gear up and help you on your dive entry and exit. The crew will fill the tanks so all you do is dive. Most of the time you will be picked up by our boat or our dingy.

Ocean friendly bio-degradable soap and shampoo are available in our 3 spacious toilet and shower rooms on the main deck.

Two more showers are located on the dive platform.

Lots of room here for getting your tan, we also have a couple of hammocks & sundeck chairs under our shade at the back of the sun deck. This is a nice place for spotting Dolphins, Manta rays and Whale sharks while travelling to new dive sites and up here you're always the one to spot the Dolphins first. Traditional Thai Massage is available on request.
